BSDW Module1- Accountability Essentials - This training will be provided by the FNSDS Centre to new and novice BSDWs or BSDWs that wish to refresh their skills. The module will contain training on caseload management, documentation, file management, IA forms and reporting. This is a 3 & 1/2 day module with an exam at the beginning, end and 3 months later as follow up to assure retention.
BSDW Module 2 - IA Policy Essentials.
This module will focus on IA policy addressing all the common policies necessary for BSDWs to perform their responsibilities. Common problematic policies and interpretations will also be addressed such Shelter, Eligibility, PWD, PPMB, NCBR and more. This is a 3 & 1/2 day module with an exam at the beginning, end and 3 months later as follow up to assure retention
BSDW Module 3 - Active Measures Essentials
Module 3 will provide knowledge, skills and information on how to effectively support employable clients to seek independence from Social Assistance and the tools, knowledge and practices for working more effectively with Aboriginal clientele. Included are training sessions with Guiding Circles, Service Canada and other presenters
